THIRTY TWO YEARS IS HUGE!
|
Being sober for 32 years seems incrediable and huge to me. Certainly there are people who have gone longer between drinks of alcohol but I am certain they never had the affair with Jack Daniels (or any of his relatives) that I did.
I love booze, I love black outs, I long for the combined smells of urine and used booze and I am really not even that upset with sleeping in a wet bed.
But, there is a power in the universe stronger then my connection with alcohol and, through God's grace and the experience, strength, hope, support and love of countless men and women, I have managed, for 32 years, to stay plugged in to that power.
